Things that are Marathon Training Recap Week 12
I feel like I’m almost back to my old running self again. YAY! It’s been a long 4 weeks.
Monday: I ended up just doing the exercises my chiropractor gave me to strengthen my hamstrings and back of the knee and calves. I didn’t have enough time to go to the gym and do barre class.
Tuesday: Woke up extra early to get in a 3 mile run.

When I don’t get a chance to wash my hair – I end up putting it in a bun.

Thursday: Didn’t do any exercise aside with walking the dogs with a neighbor girl.
Friday: Rest Day.
Saturday: Before I ran on the 4th of July we decided to go watch the balloon launch. Sad note – they got the balloons blown up but they never launched due to the weather.

I ran 6 miles. I got cool new ear buds that I got to try out, they stayed on pretty good and didn’t really cause any discomfort, it was a nice change to the headphones I normally wear that constantly bounce around my neck. It was the first time I have actually ran 6 miles since I injured my knee. Because I was running a lot more miles I asked Chase to come get me if my knee was hurting. Thankfully my knee didn’t hurt, I was just overly hot due to the tank I was wearing.
In celebration of the 4th of July we had a lot of fun and we ate a lot of food! You can see the below picture:
